Low Cal Vegan Queso

I know I’ve mentioned my love for Mexican food multiple times on the blog.  I’ve also shared recipes for my Mexican Socca Pizza, Easy Enchiladas, Black Bean Burger tacos, and Enchiladas Verdes.

If it wasn’t for the high calorie and fat content of cheese and guacamole, I’d eat Mexican 3 meals a day.  The guacamole can be justified (healthy fats, what-what!), but cheese is something that just has to been limited in my diet.  And EVERYTHING is better with cheese.

But when I saw this new product in my inbox I had to share it with you.  Disclaimer – I haven’t tried it yet and the company did not ask me to post this.  I’m simply buying some and wanted to see if you all were interested, too!

Daily Gourmet’s featured product is a fat free, vegan, nut free, soy free queso at a fantastic price.  Once I saw the nutrition facts, I was sold.

    That sounds really interesting. I normally wouldn’t be up for vegan queso, but for 20 cals, I’m in!

    Can’t wait to hear what you think of this! I am a Mexican addict as well, so I’m always interested in low-cal alternatives!

    I LOVE Mexican too! I usually use whole wheat tortillas, light on the cheese, and heavy on the salsa and beans! 🙂

    Claire, thanks for posting about us! I think you’ll really like this queso. I am not vegan, but loved it. It’s delicious and healthy.

    There are two great vegan quesos! Nacho Mom’s actually only has TEN calories a serving and no fat making their SIXTEEN ounce jar only 160 calories. It’s endorsed by Weight Watchers as being zero points. Rock on vegan quesos, both of ya!
